Description

DESC: CBD Notice for the Design Services for the Renovation and Alteration of a Historic U.S. Courthouse located in Tallahassee, Florida for the Southeast Sunbelt Region of the General Services Administration (GSA), Atlanta, Georgia. The following four firms have been short-listed for this project: Akin & Associates Architect, Inc., Tallahassee, FL; B.K.M. Architects, Inc., Jacksonville, FL; Hernandez-Klein, Gulf Breeze, FL; Prad Group, Inc., Jackonville, FL. As stated in the Stage I CBD notice dated November 16, 2000, the GSA requires that the A-E Design Firm not form a partnership, joint venture, association, etc., exclusively for this procurement. Each shorted-listed A-E firm will be required to assemble a design team and present a 2-hour structured audio-visual presentation in the GSA's Regional Office, located in Atlanta, GA, on February 15 or 16, 2001 as scheduled by GSA. Firms will be notified at a later date of the scheduled day and start time. The A-E's consultants will be limited to the states of Alabama, Georgia and Florida. Detailed Stage II Evaluation Criteria will be issued in a future CBD announcement. To assist the firms in the formation of their design teams, listed below is a minimum list of Consultants & Other Needs that will be required for this project: 1) Asbestos & Lead Paint Abatement Consultant, 2) Professional Cost Estimating Consultant, 3) Landscape Architect, 4) Civil Engineer, 5) Interior Designer, 6) Historical Preservation Consultant, 7) Structural Engineer, 8) Mechanical & Plumbing Engineers/Fire Sprinkler System Designer, 9) Electrical Engineer, 10) Fire Life Safety Consultant, 11) Acoustical Engineering Consultant, 12) Security Design Consultant, 13) Elevator Consultant; and Other Needs: 14) Reproduction Company, 15) Experienced Partnering Facilitator.
