- Description
- NASA Research Announcement (NRA): The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Bioastronautics Research Division solicits proposals for research investigations in support of Research Opportunities in Space Life Sciences. This announcement is specific to the Advanced Human Support Technology (AHST) Program within the Bioastronautics Research Division and solicits proposals for the following projects: Advanced Environmental Monitoring and Control, Advanced Life Support, and Advanced Extravehicular Activity. Separate solicitations for the Fundamental Biology, and Biomedical Research and Countermeasures (including Space Human Factors Engineering research) Programs will be available at later dates in 2001. Proposals requested by this announcement may be for ground-based research investigations, and limited types of space- flight experiments designed for the Shuttle middeck or for the early phase of utilization of the International Space Station. This solicitation is open to U.S. and foreign proposals in all categories of governmental and private sector organizations, agencies, and institutions. It will be open for the period through April 26, 2001; proposals may be submitted at any time throughout the period. This solicitation will be available electronically via the Internet at http://peer1.idi.usra.edu/ starting January 26, 2001. Paper copies of the Announcement will be available starting January 26, 2001 to those who do not have access to the Internet by calling 202-358-4180 and leaving a voice mail message.
