Description

The Environmental Protection Agency has a need to transport hazardous materials, refrigerators, and freezers. The successful offeror will provide all materials, labor, supplies, equipment and professional expertise necessary to segregate, inspect, pack, and transport laboratory hazardous materials, including laboratory refrigerators and freezers approximately 2 miles from 86 T.W. Alexander Drive and 79 T.W. Alexander Drive to 109 T.W. Alexander Drive in Research Triangle Park, NC. The materials to be moved support EPA's research and development operations and are primarily laboratory scale containers with varying levels of toxicity and hazardous characteristics. EPA anticipates the award of a fixed price purchase order. NAICS No. 484220 applies, with a size standard of $18.5M in average annual receipts over the last 3 years. The RFQ will be issued approximately 1/22/01 as Full and Open Competition. A pre-proposal conference will be held approximately 3 weeks after issuance of the RFQ. The offerors will be due approximately 3 weeks after the pre-proposal conference. Firms may receive a copy of the RFQ by submitting a written request for a copy of the RFQ from the contact point at the address above. E-mail requests will be honored. However, telephone and fax requests will not be honored. Only one copy shall be sent to a corporate entity, regardless of the number of requests from one or more different geographic locations. A copy of the preliminary source list will be issued to all prospective offerors along with the RFP. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Agency.
