Contracting Office Address: Department of the Air Force, Air Mobility Command, 437th Contracting Squadron/LGCV, 101 E Hill Blvd, Charleston AFB SC 29404-5021 Description: One Hundred Twenty Five (125) Firefighting Hoses, 1 3/4", Hi-Combat II with 1 1/2" couplings (50-foot sections/lengths). This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20. The resulting award is set aside for the small business set-aside program. The NAICS is 421490 with a 100-employee size standard. The vendor shall provide one hundred twenty five (125) firefighting hoses, 1 3/4", Hi-Combat II with 1 1/2" couplings (50-foot sections/lengths) or an equivalent. The equipment should be delivered no later than 31 Jan 2001 and should be delivered to the unit address that will be listed on the award document, FOB destination. The following clauses and provisions are incorporated and will remain in full force in any resultant award. FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial, applies to this acquisition. FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition and the specific evaluation criteria to be included in paragraph (a) of that provision is (1) the technical capability of the item offered to meet the Government requirement; (2) price; and (3) small business participation. Offerors are advised to include with their offers a completed copy of Representations and Certifications, as found in FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial items, applies to this acquisition. FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive orders -- Commercial items applies to this acquisition. The Contractor shall comply with the clauses in FAR 52.212-5, paragraph (b), which are incorporated in this contract by reference to implement provisions of law or executive orders applicable to acquisitions of commercial items or components: 52.219-8, Utilization of Small Business Concerns (15 U.S.C. 637 (d)(2) and (3)); 52.222-25, Affirmative Action Compliance. 52.222-26, Equal Opportunity (E.O. 11246); 52.232-33, Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer-Central Contractor Registration (31 U.S.C. 3332).
