6635-01-357-6647 PBS-4100 PORTABLE BALANCING SYSTEM 10 EA , , , The Air Force has a requirement for the following CLIN 0001: Portable Balancing System, 10 EA 6635 01 357 6647KV P/N: PBS-4100 SIZE: 10" X 16" X 11.5". Computer Size: 12.1" X 3.1" X 14.2". FORM, FIT, FUNCTION: Automatically collects vibration data during Engine test run and calculates balances solution, displays a diagram of engine Balance flange to indicate where weights should be installed. Shipment of these items is destined for: Warner Robins Air Force Base, Georgia. PREDOM MATERIAL: Electronics, Cables, and Plastic. APPL: Multi-aircraft P/R Nbr: FD2050-00-96866 Government's Required delivery : 18 Feb 2001 The Air Force intends to award to a sole source contractor, Mechanical Technology Inc, CAGE: 26741 This is a non-competitive item purchase. There are no Government Drawings or specifications available for this solicitation. This is not a small business set-aside. The Government anticipates releasing a paper Request for Proposal (RFP) on or about 28 Dec 00 to source(s) requesting a RFP document. Fax request to the point of contact (POC) are allowed and should be requested in time to meet the RFP response date. CBD Notes 22 and 26 are applicable. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified in this notice for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition. If your concerns are not satisfied by the contracting officer, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of an acquisition. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program director or Contracting Officer, but communicates Contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentially as to the source of the concern.
