Description

Under authority granted in FAR 6.302-1, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency intends to seek a quotation on a SOLE SOURCE BASIS from MTS Systems Corporation for upgrades to four (4) MTS Engine Dynamometer Test Systems that were installed over the last three (3) years at the EPA's National Vehicle and Fuels Emission Laboratory, Ann Arbor, Michigan. The Government's requirements for these upgrades are as follows: (1) The contractor shall supply four (4) MTS System's high performance power PC (PCU) (VXI) utilizing a 32 bit microprocessor slot 0 card, P/N: VX4604. (2) The contractor shall supply four (4) copies VX-In 2.2C to version 3.0 software upgrade, P/N: 9210-0068. The EPA will install the above hardware components and software. This procurement will be accomplished under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Sources wishing to be considered must submit documentation to the office identified above. Documentation must be submitted within 15 days of the date of publication of this notice (December 15, 2000). Submit your request in writing to Matthew J.
