Description

The purpose of Amendment 0002 is to provide answers to questions received from potential offerors in response to solicitation N31980-00-R-4283 as follows: (1) QUESTION: Para 7.29 of Work Item 801 states... "The Contractor shall develop as built drawings and submit to ABS and USCG for approval as required". Preliminary installation drawings are normally submitted to ABS and USCG for approval vice as built drawings. Should para 7.29 be interpreted to have the Contractor develop preliminary installation drawings (Prior to start of installation) for approval by ABS and USCG instead of as built drawings? (1) ANSWER: Correct, preliminary installation drawings are normally submitted for approval. The contractor shall develop preliminary installation drawings and submit those to ABS and USCG for approval. (2) QUESTION: Usually the drawings submitted for approval by ABS and USCG are arrangement, ventilation and electrical/power system drawings? Which specific drawings are to be developed for submission for approval? (2) ANSWER: Any arrangement, ventilation, piping, and electrical system drawings developed as a working drawing or preliminary installation drawing should be submitted. The exact number and type of drawings would vary by contractor, i.e., a composite drawing showing all affected systems, or separate drawings for each system, different views etc. (3) QUESTION: The CD provided did not include reference 2.6 MSC Drawing No. T-AH 604-5981319. Will the referenced drawing be provided? ANSWER: The 2.6 Drawing T-AH604-5981319 was superceded by drawing #6631763 that was previously provided on the CD of drawings. The specification will be changed to reflect the proper reference drawing. (6) QUESTION: Reference 2.1 refers to drawing 5981296 and the CD provided drawing 6247169. Was the correct drawing provided? (6) ANSWER: Yes, drawing #6247169 is the most up to date revision. The specification will be changed to reflect the correct drawing number. (7) QUESTION: Reference 2.1 refers to drawing 5980469 and the CD provided drawing 624167. Was the correct drawing provided? (7) ANSWER: Yes, drawing #6247167 is the most up to date revision. The specification will be changed to reflect the correct drawing number. (8) QUESTION: Several drawings provided did not reference the same revision number as stated in the Work Item. Reference 2.5 states MSC Drawing No. T-AH 528-5980084 Rev E, drawing provided was MSC Drawing No. T-AH 528-5980084 Rev F? Reference 2.10 states MSC Drawing No. T-AH 533-5980083 Rev C, drawing provided was MSC Drawing No. T-AH 528-5980083 Rev D? (8) ANSWER: Use the most recent revision of the referenced drawings provided on the CD, T-AH 528-5980084 Rev F, and T-AH 528-5980083 Rev D. The specification will be corrected to reflect the correct drawing numbers. (9) QUESTION: Is there a list of label plates and or material? (9) ANSWER: A list of label plates is not provided. However para 7.28 does provide guidance on label plates for major equipment. Exact number and designation of label plates may vary depending on installation. Please refer to GTR 29 for further guidance on label plates. A Bill of Materials, as well as estimated quantities is provided for guidance in the work specification. As a result of the changes noted above, the specification page 801-1, and 801-2 are hereby modified to reflect the correct MSC Reference drawing numbers. Revised pages can be down loaded from the NECO website at www.neco.navy.mil. There is change in the solicitation closing date and time of 7 December 2000.
