Description
Note: This is a readvertisement of the earlier notice posted in CBDNet on February 2, 2000. Firms that responded to the earlier notice do not have to respond again. DESC: The U.S. Mission to Germany requires local guard force services to prevent unauthorized access; protect life; maintain order; deter criminal attacks against employees, dependents and property and terrorist acts against all U.S. assets; prevent damage to Government property; and provide surveillance detection. The contractor shall furnish managerial, administrative and direct labor personnel to accomplish all work required in the contract. The estimated number of hours for guard services for each year is 614,460 hours. The sites in Germany include the American Embassy Berlin, the American Consulate Generals in Munich, Hamburg, Leipzig, Duesseldorf, and Frankfurt, the America House in Cologne, the Defense Liaison Office in Bonn, and additional sites in Biblis, Lampertheim, and Holzkirchen. Placement of a time-and-materials contract with fixed labor rates, and an economic price adjustment is contemplated. The resulting contract will have a basic performance period of 1 year and 4 one-year options to renew and an option to extend the term of the contact for an additional period of up to 6 months, if necessary. It is estimated that the resulting contract will be awarded in March 2001. Target start date is 01 July 2001 with a prior transition period of no more than 90 calendar days. The solicitation for this requirement will be issued on or about 1 December, 2000.
