Description

The U.S Army Communication Electronics Command (CECOM) intends a negotiated commercial acquisition for Improved Frequency Modulator (IFM) Amplifier, AM-7189A/ARC P/N 622-6545-003. The NSN is 5895-01-188-3332 and the item will be purchased from Rockwell Collins, Cedar Rapids IA. A Ten (10) year Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Type contract is anticipated. Delivery Orders issued under this contract will be on a Firm-Fixed-Price basis. This acquisition is for a quantity of up to an estimated 1,250 units, with the minimum contract quantity being 50 units. Proposal should be based on F.O.B destination. This acquisition shall be accomplished through negotiations with Rockwell Collins, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), only one responsible source and no other type of supply or service will satisfy agency requirements. However, all responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The U.S. Army Communications Electronics Command (CECOM) has established a Business Opportunities Page (BOP) web site to allow electronic transmittal of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Invitations for Bids (IFB) from CECOM to Industry. Upon accessing this web page, click on CECOM Business Opportunities by simply typing "guest" for the login ID and password. Registration for a user ID and password will only be necessary when you are considering the submission of proposals to CECOM through the BOP. Offers and Bids shall be submitted in hard copy at the time and place specified in the solicitation. Offers shall be submitted directly to the Contracting Officer. See Notes 22. The issuance date for the solicitation would be on or about 19 Dec 2000; the closing date would be on or about 18 Jan 2001.
