Description
This project will provide three new buildings north of the Fort Campbell, KY air field, asphalt and concrete hardstand, and supporting utilities and facilities. Clearing, grading, concrete paving, aprons, and sidewalks, bituminous POV paving, and fences will be included. Utilities include potable and fire water lines, sanitary sewers, natural gas, electric and communications. Demolition of five buildings totaling 1,684 square meters down to the existing concrete slab is included. The buildings to be constructed are as follows: Vehicle Maintenance Shop-1796 s.m.-Building has structural steel frame, supporting insulated metal siding panels, and an insulated metal panel roof system, with cmu masonry veneer exterior wall. Interior walls will be painted cmu. Flooring to be hardened concrete, VCT, and carpet. Equipment Maintenance Shop-947 s.m.-Building has engineered metal frame, supporting insulated metal siding panels, and insulated metal panel roof system, with cmu masonry exterior wall. Interior walls in admin areas to be painted gypsum board over metal stud framing. Floors shall be hardened concrete and VCT. Oil Storage Building-28 s.m. -- Building will be un-insulated pre-engineered metal building with two overhead coiling doors. Facilities will include HVAC, fire protection and compressed air supply. Electrical load for this facility is estimated to be 250 kVA. Communications will include 300 pair copper cable and 36 strands of fiber optic cable. This project will be solicited as a Request for Proposal and offers will be evaluated on the following basis: Administrative/Management Information, Past Performance Information, Price, Proposed Schedule and Performance Capabilities. Estimated value is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Solicitation to be issued on or about 13 DEC 2000. Proposals will be due on or about 16 January 2001, 4:30 p.m. local time. SIC code is 233320.
