Description

The Contractor shall supply all labor, materials, supervision and equipment necessary to provide preventive maintenance for generators and transfer switches in 33 buildings located at the USDA, ARS, BARC, in Beltsville, Maryland, in accordance with the Statement of Work. The term of the contract is February 1, 2001 through September 30, 2001, with (4) one-year options. A site visit is scheduled for December 19, 2000, 10:00 a.m., meeting in front of Building 426, BARC-East, Beltsville, MD. This synopsis for a commercial service is prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6. The anticipated solicitation release date is on or about December 6, 2000. The solicitation will be available on the Internet at the following URL location: http://www.barc.usda.gov/fmod/contract/solicit.htm. Interested parties must download the solicitation and all corresponding amendments. Please be advised that any subsequent amendments to this solicitation shall be posted at the same website without further notice. All offerors are responsible for the complete solicitation package and any subsequent amendments. Only written requests stating that the solicitation could not be accessed will be mailed, but the Contractor is still responsible for requesting the amendments, if any. Reference solicitation number (02-3K47-01) on all inquiries. Request for Quotation (RFQ) #02-3K47-01 is incorporating provisions and clauses through FAC 97-20. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 81131 and annual size standard is $5.0 million for the proceeding 4 years. This is a small business set-aside. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. Anticipated award date is January 8, 2001.
