Description

The Television-Audio Support Activity (T-ASA) proposes to establish a contract for the engineering/technical design, fabrication and testing of five (5) Mobile Radio Television Systems (MRTVS). These systems will consist of commercial off the shelf (COTS) equipment installed in a commercial truck and trailer. The systems will be configured utilizing currently government owned commercial trucks with a combination of government furnished equipment and contractor furnished equipment. The contract will be awarded through a Best Value analysis process. To more fully inform potential offerors of the scope of these efforts and to obtain industry feedback prior to issuance of the Request for Proposals (RFP), a pre-solicitation conference is scheduled for December 13, 2000, 9:00 AM EST, at APAC Conference Room, Building 8607, 6th Army Calvary Road, Ft. George G. Meade, Maryland. Contractors will have the opportunity to view one of the vans scheduled for this contract effort. Attendance at the conference is not required, however, contractors are given this opportunity to give the maximum potential for industry input in the final Statement of Work and are strongly encouraged to attend. Attendance must be confirmed no later than December 8, 2000. The current draft of the Statement of Work may be reviewed and down-loaded from the following website: ftp://www.tasa.army.mil/pub/ABSVANS. Paper copies of this information will not be distributed. The North American Industry Classification Systems code for this acquisition will be 334220, size standard is 750 employees.
