Description

David Mendelsohn, 28th Contracting Squadron, 1000 Ellsworth Street, Suite 1200, Ellsworth Air Force Base, SD, 605-385-1750. The 28th Contracting Squadron in conjunction with 28th Civil Engineering Squadron are hosting an Industry Day on 20 Dec 00, from 0900 -- 1400, at the Rushmore Center Conference Room, 1000 Ellsworth Street, Ellsworth Air Force Base SD, for potential 8a and non-8a contractors. The purpose of this Industry Day is to provide information concerning a design-build Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) construction contract to replace the current Simplified Acquisition of Civil Engineering Requirements (SABER) Program contract when it expires 17 Oct 01. Projects under this design-build IDIQ contract will consist of construction work previously completed under both SABER projects and non-SABER projects. The performance period for this contract will be one basic year with four option years. Contract award will be multiple with three contracts awarded to 8a contractors and three contracts awarded to non-8a contractors. Contract award minimum guaranteed is $50,000 over the life of each contract awarded. The aggregate not-to-exceed amount for this design-build IDIQ contract is estimated at $40 million over the life of the contract based on historical data gathered over the past five years (SABER and non-SABER projects combined). The proposed agenda for the Industry Day is as follows: 0900 -- 1030 Design-Build IDIQ Presentation by 28th Contracting Squadron and 28th Civil Engineering Squadron. 1030 -- 1100, Discussion/Questions & Answers Session. 1100 -- 1200 base tour. 1200 -- 1300 Lunch (On Your Own). 1300 -- 1400 Optional Follow-up Questions & Answers Session.
