Description

The Department of Energy (DOE) intends to purchase technical support services for the Ohio Field Office in Miamisburg, Ohio which includes project offices in Fernald, OH (FEMP, Miamisburg, OH (MEMP), Columbus, OH (CEMP), Astabula, OH (AEMP) and West Valley, NY (WVDP). Place of performance will be at the sties just mentioned as well as the contractor's facility. Technical support/advice and assistance tasks include: environmental compliance, safety engineering, fire protection, integrated safety management, quality assurance, technical advise, health physics, information declassification, nuclear material control and accountability, project management, project controls, and project engineering. This is a competitive 8(a) Program procurement as identified in Far 19.8. Only eligible 8(a) firms under NAICS Code 541690 should submit an interest in the RFP. The base performance period is from June 16, 2001 -- June 15, 2002. Four (4) one -- year optional periods of performance: June 16, 2002 -June 15, 2003, June 16, 2003 -- June 15, 2004, June 16, 2004 -- June 15, 2005, and June 16, 2005 -- June 15, 2006 are anticipated. Anticipate solicitation issuance on or about February 15, 2001; however, if approval is granted, it will be released sooner. Please note, there will be no paper copies issued or mailed to prospective/potential eligible 8(a) offerors. This solicitation will only be available for downloading/viewing on the Ohio Field Office web page at www.ohio.doe.gov. Any interested and eligible 8(a) under the applicable NAICS code should submit a request to receive a copy of the RFP for viewing/downloading to beverly.cole@ohio.doe.gov. The DOE Ohio Field Office will notify all the requestors via an e-mail message when the solicitation is available for viewing. All responsible/eligible 8(a)'s may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.********
