Description

The Headquarters, Simulation Training and Instrumentation Command (STRICOM), Orlando, FL is responsible for instrumentation and training devices of the Military Operations on Urbanized Terrain/Restrictive Terrain (MOUT/RT). Multiple awards were made to five contractors on 10 May 2000 to supply the MOUT/RT requirements. STRICOM is currently in the process of raising the current ceiling of the multiple awards by $10,000,000.00 under FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This ceiling increase is required to support the MOUT/RT requirements until such time as the STRICOM Omnibus Contracts for the Live Fire Domain are awarded. The raised ceiling will allow the continuation of, at a minimum, the capability of audio and visual recording, editing, and presentation; battlefield visual and audio effects; targetry and casualty assessment; studies, analyses, and designs of related subjects; rapid prototying; integrated logistics support; associated data/manuals, and limited construction.
