Description
DESC: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 644-10-01 is issued as a Request for Quotation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-18 . Solicitation is proposed as a Sole Source Acquisition per FAR 6.302-1. The NAICSC code is 421450. Clauses and Provisions from the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) may be obtained online at http://www.arnet.gov/far, Veteran's Administration Acquisition Regulation (VAAR) are available online at http://www.va.gov/oa/&mm/vaar. Characteristics for balloon expandable surgical stents,pre-mounted balloon expandable surgical stents, and self-expanding coil surgical stents. Must be deployed or have ability to be deployed by a balloon. Must be 4-7mm for low profile and extra support, 5-10mm for normal profile and 9-12 mm for large diameter. Must have 4-12 mm diameters. Must have 10-76 mm lengths. Must be between .0058" and 0060" for strut thickness. Maximum amount of grams of force required to deflect the stent must be 4-7mm diameter: 900 grams, 5-10mm diameter: 2,152 grams, 9-12 diameter: 3,300 grams, 4-7 mm diameter, extra support: 1,200 grams. Must be made of 316L stainless steel cut from a hypotube with no weld points. Must have the following ranges: 20 to 12% coverage for 4-7mm diameter low profile, 28 to 11% coverage for 5-12 mm diameter, 28 to 15% coverage for 4-7mm diameter extra support. Must have no shortening across entire diameter range of stent for 5-12mm diameter stents regardless of length and minimal shortening of approximately 2mm or less for extra strength stent and low profile stent in the 4-7mm range. Must take minimum of approximately 400 grams of compression of force at maximum diameter. Maximum profile must be compatible with 6-8 french introducer sheaths. No balloon required to deploy stent. Upon collapsing must have ability to re-expand. Must be in the 4-8 mm diameters. Must have between 40-60 mm diameters. Must have ability to be flexed 10 million times at 120 degrees with no degradation to the stent. Must be composed of Nitinol material and coil in design. Coil wire must have diameter of 0.24mm or larger. Must have ability to be flexed in all planes without completely obstructing the humen. Must have maximum of 13% coverage. Must have minimum compression resistance of approximately 40 psi without completely collapsing. Must have maximum profile to insert through 9 french or smaller introducer introducer sheath. Delivery to be made no later than 10 days after award. The provisions of 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial and 52.212-2 Evaluation Commercial Items are applicable to this solicitation.
