Description

This is a Combined CBD Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items prepared in FAR 12.6 format and supplemented with other information in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. N00178-01-R-3009 is a Request for Proposal and incorporates provisions/clauses in effect through FAC 97-20 & DFAR CN 20001001 North American Industry Classification System Code is 334515. This is a sole source requirement for a Firm-Fixed Price contract with VICOR Corporation. This acquisition is for 500 each of Battery Charger Modules (DC to DC Converters -- part number -- VI-251-EU-BM and 500 each of DC to DC converters- part number -- VI-J52-EW. The components requested are the same components used when developing the prototype battery boxes for the Ship ACADA portable chemical agent detector. There will be no trade in of the current system. Delivery is to be made to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Bldg. 125, Dahlgren, VA by 31 January 2001. CLIN 0001: Battery Charger Modules -- The components requested are the same components used when developing the prototype battery boxes for the Ship ACADA portable chemical agent detector. Minimum Requirement Methodology -- Proposals must meet the minimum requirements stated above. Evaluation will be based on price and required delivery schedule. Award is anticipated 22 December 2000 and will be made using simplified acquisition procedures. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the Clause at FAR 52.212-3 Alt 1, Offeror Representatives and Certifications -- Commercial Items and DFAR 252.212-7000 Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items with their offer. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items, apply to this acquisition. FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to implement Statues or Executive Order -- Commercial Items, Subparagraphs (a), (b) 1, 5, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 22, 23 (d) and (e) apply to this acquisition. The Clause at DFAR 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial items. DFAR 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration is also hereby incorporated by reference. The Contractor shall provide a copy of their warranty and any descriptive literature, brochures, etc., with their proposal. The offer must: (1) be for the item described above; (2) be FOB Destination to this Center; (3) include the proposed delivery schedule and the discount/payment terms and any warranty terms. (4) shall provide information concerning installation, training and testing of these specifications. (5) must be signed by an authorized company representative; (6) include name of authorized negotiator along with telephone number, facsimile number and e-mail address (if available); and (7) include their taxpayer identification number (TIN), Cage Code Number and DUNS number. This procurement is rated DO-A7.
