Description

The EPA would like to purchase renewable power for existing facilities in Cincinnati, Ohio. The purpose of this RFI is to gather information that will assist the EPA in preparing a formal Request for Proposal (RFP). Based upon existing procurement plans, the General Services Administration, on behalf of the Environmental Protection Agency, plans to issue a solicitation for renewable energy in January 2001 for the initial delivery of renewable energy at the earliest possible date allowed by Ohio state law. This RFI also serves to give green power suppliers advance notice of EPA_s intention to purchase green power and should allow them sufficient time to fulfill registration and other related requirements. The EPA would like to have a green power purchase contract in place in time for an Earth Day 2001
