Description

NASA/KSC plans to issue a IFB/ Request for Offers for construction of Research Park Site Development Preparations. Research Park Site Development Preparations will consist of the development of land for use as a borrow pit. It will be located at Kennedy Space Center, FL. Clearing, filling and site development is required. It will comprise approximately 130,000 square meters. The preparations will include, but is not limited to the installation of chain link fence and gate, construction of stabilized road, culvert with mitered end installation, site clearing and grubbing, trench dewatering and construction of a wetlands recharge canal. A fixed-price requirements type contract is planned. Specifications and drawings will be available upon request. The order of magnitude for the procurement is $100,000 to $500,000 and the effort shall be completed within 150 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The NAICS Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 235930 and $11.5 Million, respectively. The anticipated release date of the IFB/RFO is on or about 11/09/2000 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about 12/12/2000. The firm date for receipt of bids or offers will be stated in the IFB/RFO. Drawings will be available from the Bid Distribution Office (321) 867-2804. All QUALIFIED responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement [with the exception of the specifications and drawings] will be available over the Internet. These documents will be in Microsoft Office Suite (Word 6.0, Excel 5.0, or PowerPoint 4.0) format and will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
