Description

Contractor shall provide all labor and material necessary to repair roofs at six (6) Government owned housing units under the control of the U.S. Army Soldier Systems Center located at East Militia Heights, Needham, MA 02192 to include the following: 1. Contractor shall remove and dispose of all existing shingles, gutters and downspout, and soffits. Area will be left neat daily. 2. Contractor shall replace underlayment as necessary. 3. Contractor shall install new ridge vents, new ice dam membrane per code and new aluminum drip edge. 4. Contractor shall repoint chimney, encapsulate chimney with aluminum and replace flashing as necessary and install new 6" chimney vents. 5. Contractor shall install new asphalt shingles that carry a 25 year warranty. 6. Contractor will install new soffit panels with AF@ type supports. 7. Contractor shall install new 3"x 5" aluminum gutters, elbows and downspouts and include new flashing behind gutters. 8. Contractor shall clean up and remove from the housing area all material and excess. Any trim and fascia that is marked up shall be painted. This acquisition is one hundred per cent (100%)set-aside for Small Business.The anticipated amount is estimated between $25,000.00 and $50,000.00. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) for this procurement is 1761 and the Small Business size is $7.0 mil. The Government anticipates awarding a single Firm Fixed Price Contract. The request for Quotation will be available only on our Web site at http://www3.natick.army.mil. The solicitation will be issued on the web site on or about 24 October 2000. Quotation will be due on 9 November 2000 at 3:00PM. A site visit will be conducted at 9:00AM on 2 November 2000.
