Description

The National Institutes of Health is seeking qualified small businesses sources, certified under the SBA 8(A) program who have the capabilities to provide 1) software development and maintenance support, as specified by the Government, including 1) system and network software development and maintenance services; 2) administrative application software development and maintenance services; 3) commercial off-the-shelf software (COTS) support; 4) training; and 5)scientific program support (scientific, technical, administrative & logistical assistance, requiring knowledge of biology and genetics, computers and analytic methodology. Services are anticipated to be performed on-site in Bethesda, MD for a possible 5-year period. It is anticipated that a contractor will be requested to use modern system development environments, tools, and methodologies such as Information Engineering, I-CASE Tools, object-oriented tools, Rapid Application Development (RAD), workflow technologies, and other techniques suitable for the size and scope of individual tasks. Anticipated support consists of the full range of software development support and maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, requirements definition, design, development, installation, maintenance, problem diagnosis and resolution, and enhancement of system. Supported operating systems include, but are not limited to, UNIX, MS-DOS, Windows, Windows 95, Windows NT Workstation, Windows NT Server, Macintosh, and Novell Netware.
