Description

The Eastern Administrative Support Center (EASC) intends to acquire for the National Climatic Data Center (NCDC), contract services with the MCNC. The scope of this effort is to maintain a network connection to the Abilene network. The network shall be provided through a direct connection with the University of North Carolina Asheville. MCNC currently manages the only network connection (North Carolina Research and Education Network) to the Abilene network in Western North Carolina. No contract award will be made on the basis of any quotation received in response to this notice since this synopsis cannot be considered a Request for Quotation. This acquisition is not anticipated to exceed the Simplified Acquisition Threshold ($100,000).
