Description

The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) is currently planning a procurement for Technical and Engineering support of Navy and DoD Fixed Surveillance Systems (FSS) of the Integrated Undersea Surveillance System (IUSS) in support of SPAWAR's FSS Program Office (PMW 181). The support for these systems will be performed at various sites and platforms (CONUS or OCONUS). The scope of work under this contract will include technical and engineering services to support design, development, integration, testing, installation, life cycle support, training and documentation of FSS Sensor Systems. Interface and exchange of information with the IUSS In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) as well as other IUSS contractors (OEM) shall be required. All work performed under this contract shall be authorized via written Technical Direction Letters (TDLs). The Sources Sought notification for Solicitation N00039-00-R-2208 was posted in the Commerce Business Daily on January 6, 2000 (Submission No. 413918). The NAICS Code is 54133. The Request for Proposal will include provisions for an Award Term Contract to be awarded resulting from competition received under this solicitation. The base contract will be for 5 years with Excellent Contractor Performance having the capability to increase the Contract Term Up to a Maximum of 15 Years. Additionally, Unsatisfactory Contractor Performance can decrease the Contract Term to 2 years. Industry will be afforded the opportunity to have an exchange with the Government at an Industry Day Briefing to be held 24 October 2000 at TRW Systems Services Company (Western Pacific Room), 1843 Hotel Circle South, San Diego, CA 92108-3320.
