17(i). This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, the test program in FAR Subpart 13.5, and FAR Part 15, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued!! 17(ii). Solicitation Number 7TF-01-0001, Request for Proposal!! 17(iii). The Naval Medical Information Management Center is responsible for operating and supporting over 50 Windows NT Servers that run a number of critical business applications. These applications include the MS-Exchange electronic mail system, all file sharing and print services, and the World Wide Web production and development servers. The requested maintenance renewal procurement provides software updates and maintenance, including patches, maintenance releases and product upgrades. Brand Name or Equal is acceptable. The period of coverage for the renewal will be from the date of contract award to August 30, 2001.
