Description

DFARS 252.204-7004 "Required Central Contractor Regristration" applies to all solicitations issued on/after 6/1/98. This is a notice of intent to negotiate a contract modification with Polatomic Inc, 1124 Commerce Drive, Richardson, TX on an other than full and open competitive basis for a Polatomic 2000 magnetometer system. This system is in support of Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, EO Sensors Branch, (Beartrap), Patuxent River,MD. This laser pump magnetometer is used to measure variances in the earth's magnetic field and a reference sensor for spare equipment. This is peculiar support equipment to verify the repair of failed DT-664/ASQ-208. Polatomic Inc is the only US company in low rate production of airborne magnetic detection sysems. Award is anticipated on or before 17 Nov 2000. This requirement is being procured under statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition, 10 U S C Section 2304 (c) (1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements.
