Description

This is a synopsis for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-19. The solicitation is for a non-personal service contract for one licensed Dentist for the Federal Correctional Institution and the Federal Prison Camp at Victorville, California. The contractor will provide chair side dental services to include examinations, oral hygiene instructions, restorative dentistry, prosthodontics, periodontal services, endodontics and oral surgery. All procedures will be approved and supervised by the Chief Dental Officer. This contract will be based on an as needed basis, not to exceed 30 hours per week. The exact hours will be arranged, by mutual consent, with the contractor and the Chief Dental Officer. The time period of this contract is for Fiscal Year 2001. This is a contractual agreement and not an appointment, the service does not constitute an employer/employee relationship. The Government will award a contract to the responsible offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, will be most advantageous to the Government.
