Description
Maintenance and Logistic Command, Pacific proposes to contract the drydock and repairs of USCGC STEADFAST (WMEC 623), a 210_, medium endurance cutter, homeported in Astoria, Oregon. The CGC STEADFAST geographical restriction is limited to 200 road miles from homeport. All work shall be performed at the contractor_s facilities, during the period of 21 March 2001 and complete 01 May 2001. Work items to include: production control, Gantt bar chart, appendages (underwater) preserve, internal, hull plating, underwater body ultrasonic testing, voids (non-accessible) leak test, tanks (MP fuel service) clean and inspect, tanks (aviation fuel stowage) clean and inspect, watertight door and scuttle renewal, propulsion shaft coating inspect and test, propulsion shaft fairwater & rope guard inspection/repair, propulsion shaft external bearings check clearances, propulsion shaft seals renew/replace, CPP hub seals & O-rings renewal/replace, controllable pitch propeller system maintenance, fathometer transducers general maintenance, sea strainers (all sizes) overhaul, sea valves & waster pieces, <=2.5 inches renewal, sea valves & waster pieces, >2.5 inches overhaul, rudder stock bearings check clearances, rudder inspect & repair, anchor chain and ground tackle inspect an repair, anchor windlass overhaul, level 2, tanks (forepeak) preserve, partial, tanks (potable water) preserve, partial, hull plating, underwater body preserve, partial, catodic protection/zincs renewal, temporary services, dry dock, chain locker preservation, 100%, tanks (potable water) preserve, (additional, mast preserve, 100%, hull plating, freeboard preserve, 100%, underwater body preservation (additional). Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued on or about 11/01/2000. Potential offerors are advised that the solicitation, specification and other notifications can also be accessed on the web at: www.eps.gov. The solicitation is issued in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All responsive sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by this agency. For Women-Owned and Disadvantage Business Enterprises, the Department of Transportation (DOT) Minority, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
