Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation, 1MC10301, is issued as a request for proposal. This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 811219 with a small business size standard of $5 million. The Government intends to award all items on a sole source basis to Varian Semiconductor Equipment Associates, 35 Dory Road, Gloucester MA 10930. The authority for sole source is 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1), supplies or services are available from only one or a limited number of responsible sources and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered. Item 0001: Varian Model 350D Ion Implanter Upgrade in accordance with the Statement of Work. Quantity: 1 lot for 12 months. Delivery and acceptance at Defense Microelectronics Activity, 4234 54th Street, McClellan CA 95652-2100. The following Federal Acquisition Regulation provisions apply: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial; 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items; 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items; 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items. Offers must include a completed copy of the provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items. DPAS rating is C9. See CBD Note 22.
