Description

Dockside repairs for the NOAA ship DAVID STARR JORDAN, a fisheries research vessel. Characteristics: welded steel hull, displacement of 890 tons, length of 171 feet, breadth of 36 feet. Work will include, but not be limited to: aft wet lab deck replacement, upgrade of electrical panels, overhead removal, stateroom renovation, electrical repair, steel repairs, and inclining experiment. The anticipated Notice to Proceed date is 1 February 2001. Vendors can anticipate a seven week performance. The vessel will be available for inspection at the vessel's home port in San Diego, CA, during the period 11 to 13 December 2000. Work is to be performed at the Scripps Pier, San Diego, CA. This is a 100% small business set-aside. NAICS 336611. See Note 1.
