Description

The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO) intends to issue Communication Service Authorizations to AT&T for the continued provision and maintenance of an existing worldwide medical network, which supports the military health operations and is under charter by the Office of the Assistance Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs. Internal to this worldwide medical network is an OCONUS-specific functional Wide Area Network (WAN) that provides data and VTC support to Military Treatment Facilities (MTF) OCONUS-wide. It is the intent of the Government to continue to lease the existing circuits from AT&T, which are providing critical connectivity between CONUS locations, and OCONUS Military Treatment Facilities. The services being provided are critical to the integrity of the overall network connectivity between CONUS and OCONUS MTFs in maintaining the Tri-Service medical operations worldwide. It is the intent of the Government to acquire existing services from AT&T via CSAs issued against the Basic Agreement. This announcement is for informational purposes only. See Note 22.
