Description
It is the intent of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute to purchase Pacemakers, Transvenous Leads, and Accessories (Adapter, Cables, Batteries, Stylet, & Service Kits) for the Cardiology Branch (MDB), Division Of Intramural Research. The Solicitation No. NHLBI-PS-2001-673 is issued as a Request For Proposal. The solicitation/contract will include all applicable provisions and clauses in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 334510 Group 3391 with a size standard 500 employees. The solicitation, negotiation and award of this requirement will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Item procedures. Multiple Awards of firm, fixed-price type contracts are anticipated. There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. It is the Government's intent to purchase Twenty (20) Pacemakers, Forty (40) Transvenous Leads, and One (1) Lot of Accessories (Adapter, Cables, Batteries, Stylet, & Service Kits) during a twelve (12) month period of performance in accordance with the specifications provided in the RFP NHLBI-PS-2001-673. The Government reserves the option of purchasing any additional Pacemakers, Transvenous Leads, and Accessories (Adapter, Cables, Batteries, Stylet, & Service Kits) during the initial twelve (12) month period of performance and the four (4) successive twelve (12) month option periods. Offerors are required to submit a Published Price List and/or Catalogue, in order for the Government to negotiate the discounted rate. Interested parties must request a copy of the solicitation number NHLBI-PS-2000- 673, from the following address: Attention: Livie V. Requests for copies of the solicitation must be in writing and may be requested by FAX to (301) 480-3345 and will only be accepted if dated & signed by an authorized company representative. The solicitation will be available approximately ten (10) calendar days from the publication date of this synopsis. The solicitation will be released to all offerors requesting a copy. All responsible sources may submit a offer, which if timely received, shall be considered by the agency. Numbered Note Twenty-Three (23) Applies.
