Description
This solicitation is for the acquisition of part-numbered items manufactured primarily by General Electric Aircraft Engines, however, there are some items where other approved sources exist or the items may be good candidates for breakout. All NSNs are available for download via the Internet/World Wide Web -refer to Web LINK. FSCs to be covered under this project include: 4710 (predominant), and also 2895, 3010, 3020, 3040, 4320, 4720, 4730, and 4820. Offerors should be aware that there is a potential for split awards. This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete, unrestricted technical data; but the top drawings for some of the items are available to approved sources. See Note(s): 12, 26 This solicitation is an RFP or IFB and will be available on the Internet at http://dibbs.dscccols.com/Rfp on its issue date of 2000 Nov 16. The Small Business size standard is 1000 employees. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the government. The total shall not exceed 5 years. This is an unrestricted acquisition. This proposed procurement includes a family group of items within the Federal Supply Class 4710, 2895, 3010, 3020, 3040, 4320, 4720, 4730, and 4820. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation.
