Description

NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ)803-84385-709 for Repair/Refurbishing of Item 1,1 ea.-Ametek CL4000, Class 1 ARFF vehicle; Item 2,1 ea.- 1989 Ametek 8900L, Class 1 vehicle has a separate dry chemical fire fighting system; Item 3,1 ea.-1989 Ametek, 8900L, Class 1 vehicle has a separate halon fire fighting system; Item 4, 1 ea.-Oshkosh P-19, Class 1 ARFF has complimentary agent system; Item 5, 1 ea.-Oshkosh T-6, Class 2 ARFF vehicle; Item 6, 1 ea.-Rebuild Turrets on Oshkosh T-6, Class 2 ARFF vehicle. Specifications will be issued with the Request for Quotation. ON-SITE VISIT IS REQUIRED FROM REQUESTERS OF RFQ TO VIEW VEHICLES THAT ARE TO BE REPAIRED OR REFURBISHED. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 811310 and $5.0 Million, respectively. Delivery shall be FOB Destination. The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DO C9. Request for copies of the RFQ are due no later than 4:30 p.m. local time on 11-3-00. The anticipated release date of RFQ 803-84385-709 is on or about 11-7-00, with an anticipated quote due date of RFQ to this office of on or about 11-21-00. All qualified responsible sources may request a copy of the request for quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Oral communications ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE in response to this notice. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". Prospective offerors shall notify this office in writing or by fax of their intent to request a copy of the RFQ.
