Description

This procurement consists of 13 parts consisting of Seat Assemblies, Commander's Hatch Cushioning Pad, Gunner's Hatch Cushioning Pad, Cushioning Pads, Backrest Cushion, Seat Assemblies, Loaders Seat Assemblies and Optical Instrument Headrest Assemblies. The parts are fabricated from steel and aluminum stock with cushioning neoprene expanded foam conforming to MIL-C-3133, reinforcing netting Natural Fiber Type l, Spec JJ-S-746. Finish per class 1A, Spec MIL-C-5541. Assemblies are treated per process C1 Spec of MIL-P-116 and all surfaces coated with Neoprene Rubber, .035 thick, per SAE J19 and color is Olive Drab of FED-STD-595. Seamless construction is required on some of the items. The largest approximate outside dimension of the parts are 16 Inches x 15 Inches x 10 Inches. All requirements are for FY01-FY03. All or part of this action is an unfunded FY01-FY03 requirement. FOB is Destination. All items for use on: M1 Abrams Tank, M60 Tank, M3 Bradley Fighting Vehicle, and/or M109 Paladin. Anticipated award is 100% Small Business Set-Aside that will result in a 3-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract. All quantities indicated above are minimum guaranteed Government requirements for the first ordering period; all out year requirements will be estimated in the solicitation. The Government reserves the right to award "all or none," that is, one most highly qualified contractor will receive award for all 13 CLINs, for all three years. Estimated issue date is 103000; estimated award date is 122000. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1(c) therefore hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: http://aais.ria.army.mil CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. This solicitation incorporates Technical Data Packages (TDP) that cannot be provided via the internet. Vendors who need this TDP in order to prepare a bid or proposal are instructed to request same by submission of an email request to: tdpdist@ria.army.mil.
