The solicitation listed below is amended to reflect a change in the part number for CLIN 0003. The part number for CLIN 0003 is changed from P/N: 571-31-3289 to P/N: 571-31-3276. The due date for offers is not extended. Offers are still due 27 Sep 00. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Therefore, this synopsis shall serve as a request for proposal (RFP), numbered F41621-00-R-5082. The Air Intelligence Agency (AIA) wishes to acquire the items indicated herein on an ALL OR NONE basis. NO SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED. BRAND NAME REQUIRED. Offerors are also required to provide the unit and extended prices for the following items. 0001, Okonite CLX, MC-HL metal clad cable 350 KCMIL copper 4-conductor, AL Sheath, P/N: 571-31- 3308, Qty: 5,000 ft. 0002, AFC Cable systems MC-Lite metal clad cable #4/0 AWG, 4 conductor, copper, P/N: 571-31-3296, Qty: 4,000 ft. 0003, AFC Cable systems MC-Lite metal clad cable # 2 AWG, 4 conductor, copper, P/N: 571-31-3276, Qty: 4,000 ft. This synopsis incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-19. The cable is manufactured by Okonite Company, Inc, 102 Hilltop Rd, Ramsey NJ 07446-1119. Specifications for the cable are listed on their website, www.okonite.com/Product_Catalog/section3/sheet9.html. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) for this acquisition is 3357, 1,000 employees. The following provisions/clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items; and FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items. FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items applies. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: technical capability to meet the Government's requirement, price, and delivery date.
