Description
Solicitation N00421-00-Q-0660 will be issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The Government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis and to solicit and process the proposed purchase order on a competitive basis to purchase CLIN 0001, Quantity 01 EA, an Environmental Control Composite Working Booth (SIC code # 3564, "Industrial and Commercial Fans and Blowers and Air Purification"). The required installation date is 60 days after receipt of purchase order. The specifications for the Environmental Control Booth are as such: 1. The minimum working area is to be 7' 6'' high x 16' wide x 10' deep. 2. The booth is to be made of 16 gauge steel while the air chamber and dust collector are to be of 12 gauge steel. 3. The Control Panel is to be completely factory wired. 4. The booth is to have a minimum of 2880 square ft of filter area and capable of venting cleaned air back into the workspace for re-use. 5. The booth is to have carbon filters (Barneby & Sutcliffe or equivalent). 6. The booth shall have an average face velocity of 160 FPM with charcoal filters installed. 7. Fractional Filtration efficiency of booth is to be a minimum of 99.999% @ 1.0 Micron. 8. Booth shall be equipped with reverse pulse valves, manifolds, and solenoids control board to provide automatic cleaning of filters either at shutdown or preset time intervals. 9. Cleanout drawers shall be accessible from the front (inside the working area) and be a minimum of 1.5 cubic ft. capacity. 10. Booth shall have a minimum of 4 each 4 ft. fluorescent light fixtures. 11. The inside of the booth is to be covered with silver or white acoustical panels made from fire-retardant, washable materials to reduce noise both inside and out. 12. Vendor shall provide and install complete booth at Building 8008, NAWCAD, Webster Field, St. Inigoes, Maryland, 20684. 13. The Government will provide suitable air and power to the booth location. Vendor shall hook up air and power to the control booth. 14. Vendor shall provide operating and maintenance manuals and provide initial startup and training of end-user personnel. 15.
