Z -- M/V WHITEWATER RESTORATION SOL DACW27-00-T-0037 DUE 090800 POC Contract Specialist, Lisa Frazier (502) 582-6530 The Louisville District currently has a requirement for Restoration of the M/V Whitewater which is currently located at the McAlpine Locks and Dam, Louisville, Kentucky. The M/V Whitewater is a steel-hulled flat-bottom push boat designed and built for the Corps of Engineers circa 1939 by St. Louis Shipbuilding and Steel Co. The boat is 36'-8" L x 8'-6" W and approximately 10' T from bottom of hull to top of pilot house. The Contractor shall be responsible for retrieving the M/V Whitewater from it's present location, shipping it to the Contractor's own facilities, performing restoration measures in accordance with a Statement of Work which will be provided by a Request for Quotation, and finally shipping the M/V Whitewater back to McAlpine Locks and Dam, Louisville, Kentucky and placing it where directed by the Contracting Officer. The project scope includes measures intended to secure the boat against the elements and as a permanent outdoor display feature for the general public. It is not the intent of this project to restore mechanical/electrical features of the boat to a functioning status.
