McNeley, Contracting Officer PROCUREMENT NOTICE TO NOTIFY CONTRACTORS OF A SOLICITATION PROVIDE BRIDGE CRANE IN BUILDING 31418 AT THE NAVAL AIR WEAPONS STATION, CHINA LAKE, CA The contractor will be required to furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision required to provide a 2 ton bridge crane in one bay of an existing pre-engineered building including miscellaneous steel and electrical work to allow the installation of the crane in accordance with the attached drawings, applicable regulations, and all miscellaneous related work including cleanup, complete and ready for use. Performance time is 90 calendar days. The issue date is on or about 25 August 2000. Potential quoters should request IFB N68711-00-Q-8745 over the Internet at http://www.esol.navfac.navy.mil as an Electronic Bid Solicitation (EBS). Plans and specifications will be available on the esol website the same day electronically which may be before it appears in the CBD. No paper copies will be available. The response time required by FAR 5.203 will begin on the date of issuance of the EBS solicitation. EBS solicitation packages may be acquired by registration and download at the Internet EBS Web Site. This office anticipates that most of the administration of the contract will be via paperless transmissions. It is preferred that interested contractors have the capability to transmit and receive all actions required in the contract electronically. Notification of any possible changes to this solicitation (amendments) shall be made only on the Internet at the above WEB address. No deposit is required for this solicitation (RFQ). This is not a public bid opening. This project is set-aside for small business. See the solicitation for the proper address for delivery of bids.
