Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Philadelphia, PA proposes to acquire services to assess and select a lamination coating that can be used in inductors and/or transformers that will reduce the noise generated from electrical equipment so tht the Navy can maintain a low noise threshold aboard Naval vessels. A literature search for visco-bonding agents, interviews with manufacturers of visco-elastic bonding will be conducted. Also, aid in the selection of a visco-elastic bonding agent that is most likely to suppress noise and be compatible with typical electrical operating temperatures will be required.
