This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items or services prepared in accordance with format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. NIH-NIA Gerontology Research Center intends to purchase an Avanti J-20I Elutriation System, 60 Hz including programmable microprocessor controlled high-performance centrifuge, maximum speed and g-force of 20,000 rpm and 51,500 x g, high torque, brushless SR drive for faster accel and decel profiles, imbalance tolerant drive, Instant Rotor Identification System (IRIS), delay start capability, 12-user selectable dual ramp acceleration rates, 13 user selectable dual-ramp deceleration rate, w2t integrator, maximum capacity of 6 liters, dual digital display of set and actual run conditions with keypad for entering run parameters and programming, storage of up to 30 dual step user-created run programs, manual rotor identification with secondary safety backup using windage and inertia check, CFC-free refrigeration system built in a CFC-free manufacturing environment, reduced size compared to traditional high performance centrifuges, including a work surface height of 34 inches, foot-pedal operation of door, run conditions can be set for either RPM or RFC mode, speed setting program of 100 to 20,000 rpm -- for elutriation 0 to 5,000 rpm, speed display from 0-10,000 rpm, display indicates actual rotor speed +or-10 rpm, from 1,000 to 20,000 rpm, indicates actual speed +or-0.1%, temperature range of -10 degrees C to +40 degrees C in 1 degree increments, maximum set time of 99 hours and 59 minutes, Friction Reduction System (FRS), one year warranty and a JE 5.0 Elutriator Rotor Kit features maximum rpm 5,000, maximum g force 4,700 including rotor assembly, ship list and tubing harness kit.
