E-MAIL: Carrie Haman, carrie.haman@gsa.gov. SIC 1711 -- Provide all labor and materials for the chiller replacement in the US Customs House in New Orleans, Louisiana. The work includes replacement of the two 300 ton and one 150 ton CFC centrifugal chillers with two 500 ton and one 250 ton Non CFC centrifugal chillers; replacing the existing chilled and condenser water pumps; replacing the existing wooden cooling tower with either a fiberglass or stainless steel and fiberglass induced draft-cooling tower. The work will require the use of temporary chiller(s) to maintain office spaces during construction. The temporary chiller(s) shall have redundancy to prevent loss of cooling that could require sending the occupants' home. Remove and replace some structural steel on the cooling tower support. Steel repair to be under supervision of a registered structural engineer. Provide grating and stairs for new towers. Incorporate ASHRAE-15 requirements in the new central plant. Add additional DDC Controls for the new equipment. Modify the existing MCC for new equipment and feed new equipment from existing MSB. Provide 120-Volt power for miscellaneous loads, and provide additional electrical work. Provide new floor topping, walls, door and door stripping in chiller area. Protect existing building elements from construction dust and weather conditions. Provide painting of surfaces as required. Estimated cost range is between $1,000,000 and $3,000,000.
