provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision
and disposal necessary for concrete paving at USCG ANT Buoy Storage
area at USCG Station Fire Island, Babylon, NY (Suffolk County). Work
includes, removal and disposal of top 14 inches of material in the
existing buoy storage area, approximately 185 cubic yards of material.
Removal and disposal of abandoned light pole. Delivery, spreading, and
compacting of approximately 105 cubic yards of crushed gravel.
Construction of forms and placement of wire reinforcement needed for
new concrete pavement. Delivery, placement, and finishing of
approximately 80 cubic yards of 4000 psi concrete. Removal of unused
excavated material and incidental related work. Estimated cost of this
project is between $25,000 and $100,000 dollars. NAICS code is 235710
(Concrete Contractors). Solicitation packages to be available on
09/12/00. The due date for receipt of quotations is scheduled for
10/06/00 at close of business. Our office no longer issues

to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, and is
unrestricted. THE FOLLOWING NOTICE IS PROVIDED AS INFORMATION FOR

of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business
Utilization (OSDBU) has programs to assist minority, women-owned and
disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working
capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts.
This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier.
The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid,
payment and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT
provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against
losses. Loans are available under the DOT Short-term Lending Program
(STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable
financing. The max. line of credit is $500,000. For further information
