The Military Traffic Management Command (MTMC) is preparing to issue a contract for Stevedore and Related Terminal Services (S&RTS) in the Bay Area and for contingency operation purposes at Concord. In discussions with several interested offerors and based on continuing questions concerning labor operations on the west coast, it has been assessed that the Government may be better served by revising its standard contract and adapting it more to the west coast method of commercial operations. Several contractors have expressed an interest in meeting with the Government representatives to go over these initiatives to enhance our contract package.
