J -- FOR PATRIOT MAJOR ITEM REPAIRMAN (MIR) SOL DAAH01-00-T-0656 DUE 091200 POC AMSAM-AC-LS-H, Claretha Jennings, Contracting Officer, 256-842-7630 This is a Modification for Raytheon Company to provide fly-away PATRIOT Major Item Repairman (MIR) contract services in the Southwest Asia (SWA) theatre during FY 00. The purpose of this contract modification is to provide travel and per diem for on-site depot level diagnostic, fault isolation, clean up and repair capability for U.S. PATRIOT Weapon System Major Items deployed in remote locations. This service is beyond the capabilities of the battery, battalion, and intermediate support units. This procurement includes depot level clean-up, repair and maintenance on all PATRIOT major items; including services required to return, and maintain, PATRIOT major items deployed to maximum operational readiness. This requirement is sole source to Raytheon Company, Missile Systems Division, Andover Plant, 350 Lowell Street, West Andover, MA 01810, the only responsible source and no other supplies or services will supply agency requirements. The Government does not have in its possession the technical data package suitable and/or cannot provide Special Test Equipment to support competition. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source.
