Provide all equipment, common and special tools, travel and incidentals necessary to perform factory recommended major 20,000 hour service, inspection and rebuild procedures on (1) Coast Guard owned Caterpillar model D-398, serial number 66B5156, Kato #72993 generator located at USCG Loran Station Shoal Cove, Alaska. Work includes, but is not limited to providing all labor necessary for the inspection and rebuild procedures, including parts/materials as outlined in the Caterpillar recommended 20,000 hour service and rebuild procedures listed in Caterpillar Publication SEBU6103-5 or current edition. Upon completion of 20,000 hour overhaul, the contractor shall test run the engine generator under full load for four (4) hours and verify factory operating specifications. The contractor shall arrange his own transportation and transportation of equipment to and from Ketchikan, Alaska in accordance with the specifications. Work must be performed by a minimum of one Caterpillar D398 (or Caterpillar stated equivalent) factory trained mechanic for work on 500KW diesel gensets during all evolutions. Work shall be accomplished in a professional manner and in strict adherence to current Caterpillar company recommended requirements and procedures and completion of this work shall be performed within 90 days from date of award unless prior approval is received from the Contracting Officer. All parts used shall be genuine Caterpillar Tractor Co. parts meeting all manufacturer original equipment specifications. The standard industrial classification code is 7699 and the size standard is $5.0 million dollars in annual receipts for the past three years.
