The National Park Service, Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA), has identified a requirement for a contractor to develop an Integrated Pest Management Plan for approximately 25 locations within the GGNRA. This project is to develop a comprehensive, effective, and yet realistic integrated pest management plan for five million objects, natural history specimens, and archives collection. The goal of an integrated pest management plan will be to outlien an ecosystem approach to the control of pests in the museum collection storage and exhibits, including prevention through housekeeping and environmental control. Legal mandates are: Antiquities Act of 1906; the Organic Act of 1916; the Historic Sites Act of 1935; the Management of Museum Properties Act of 1955; the Archaeological and Historical Preservation Acto fo 1975; and the Archaeological Resources Protection Act of 1979 and the NPS management policies. The Contractor is responsible for any and all permits and licenses as may be required by the National Park Service and California. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate Degree or certificate; Past integrated pest management work on museum object collections, archives, and libraries in historic structures; and five years experience working in museum pest management program in both exhibit and collection capacities in accredited museums. Upon passing the minimum qualifications requirement, technical quotes for this RFQ will be evaluated on the following Selection Criteria: A) EXPERIENCE: Demonstrated successful experience in performing work: 1) IPM of diversified museum collections and exhibits; 2) IPM in historic structures, particularly wood; 3) IPM in marine environment; 4) multi-building IPM for museums; 5) training non-technical staff in basic IPM. B) PAST PERFORMANCE: 1) The offeror shall demonstrate successful performance on the same or similar type services. 2) The Offeror shall demonstrate past performance by inclusion of dates, locations, customers, points of contact and award amount. C) PRICE is not scored. However, price will be evaluated. The National Park Service encourages the participation of small, minority and woman-owned business enterprises.
