This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, and therefore, a formal written solicitation will not be issued. Responses to this notice should be provided in writing by 26 July 00, 2:30 PM PST. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions/clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-18. The Government intends to procure the following items: 0001 15 EA MONITOR, 14-IN BROADCAST (Sony P/N BVM-14F5U). 0002 15 EA DECODER, VIDEO; PRECISION NTSC AND INPUT ADAPTER; IQ DECODER AND 3-LINE, 2-LINE, AND TRAP FILTER; 6 ANALOG INPUTS WITH PASSIVE LOOP CAN BE ACCEPTED; INCLUDES INSTALLATION MANUAL; FOR USE WITH SONY BVM EVERGREEN SERIES VIDEO MONITORS (Sony P/N BKM-24N). 0003 15 KT RAIL KIT, MONITOR; FOR USE WITH SONY MODEL BVM-14E5U MONITOR (Sony P/N BKM31E14). 0004 5 EA INTERFACE, SERIAL DIGITAL; COMPONENT/COMPOSITE; FOR USE WITH SONY MODEL BVM-14F5U 14-IN BROADCAST MONITOR (P/N BKM-21D). Standard commercial warranty required. The system shall be delivered FOB destination 30 days after receipt of order to the Defense Visual Information Center, March AFB CA 92518. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the agency. The brand named items have been identified as meeting or exceeding the Government's minimum requirements, but are not established as standards upon which other offered brand named items will be evaluated. If the equipment proposed is the same as in the solicitation (i.e., same manufacturer and part number), the offeror need only make a statement to that effect. If the offeror is proposing other manufacturers or part numbers, the offeror shall identify the manufacturer and part number. The offeror shall also provide complete technical data. It is the offeror's responsibility to provide sufficient technical data to allow the Government to determine if the proposed substitution meets the Governments needs. Offerors are encouraged to provide existing product data, such as line cards, rather than creating data in response to this solicitation. MARKING INSTRUCTIONS: The Contractor shall attach two copies of a detailed packing list in each box or container with unlike items where the full description of the contents is not authorized or cannot be shown. Include one (1) copy of the packing list inside the box or container and attach one (1) copy of the packing list on the outside of the box or container. The outside of the box or container should also include the complete shipping address as provided in the schedule. The packing list shall contain the following information: (a) Package number and set number (if any) of the container. (b) A list of the contents which shows the quantity by item, item description, part number, type and size, unit of issue if other than each.
