The U.S. Army Communications Electronics Command (CECOM) anticipates award to Raytheon Systems Company, St. Petersburg, FL of a modification to Contract No. DAAB07-97-C-J437 for upgrade the Joint Tactical Terminal Briefcase Version (JTT-B) from the current 2 Channel Antenna Switch Module to a 4 Channel Antenna Switch Module. Enhancements to the JTT-B are required to ensure continuous network reception and operational flexibility. This change will enable multiple antenna connections which will assure that intelligence information will not be lost due to non-available antenna resources. Award is made per FAR 6.302-1(b)(1), "Only One Responsible Source." Adequate technical source data is unavailable. Level III drawings and complete system level documentation suitable to sustain a competitive procurement were not purchased on the current contract and are unavailable since the JTT-B is still under development.
