FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire on a 100% small business set-aside basis, operation and management of the Combined Bachelor Housing (CBH) facilities at the Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, IL. The contractor will be required to provide all personnel, supervision, management, training and other services. The contractor will be required to operate the front desk 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Housekeeping services are also required 7 days a week, during typical business hours. The services to be provided include, but are not limited to, check in/check out services, collection of fees, housekeeping services, booking and reservation services, equipment maintenance, supply services, front-desk message services, and mail services. A firm fixed contract is anticipated with a base period of performance commencing on 01 October 2000 and ending on 30 September 2001. The contract will also include four (4) additional one-year option provisions. This solicitation is part of a Government cost comparison to determine whether accomplishing the specified work under contract or by Government performance is more economical. If Government performance is determined to be more economical, this solicitation will be canceled and no contract will be awarded. The Request for Proposal (RFP) may require the submission of cost/price and technical proposals. It is anticipated that a pre-proposal conference and site visit will be conducted prior to solicitation closing; time and date to be determined at a later date. The applicable Standard Industrial Code for this acquisition is 7011; size standard $5M.
