This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/GSFC intends to purchase this item from Agilent Technologies, as they are the originator of this system and the only provider of the support of the system. This system will be used to debug hardware designs and must be compatible with the current system. The Authority is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations have 21 days from the publication of this synopsis to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, their qualification/capabilities. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after the 21 days or without the required information will be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
